The Sheaffer Prelude was introduced in 1997 and is still in production 25 years later. This says a good deal about the design, functionality, and appeal of the model.
This pen is brand new, it has not been pre-owned and has only been handled for photography. It is a cartridge filler, two new cartridges are included with all the factory packaging.
The Prelude is manufactured from solid brass rod and finished with multiple coats of lacquer, in this case 'Merlot' in colour.
It is a large and impressive pen with a good weight and a very well balanced, solid feel. It would make an excellent every day writer.
